Sports Medicine

USATF Long Island welcomes its new Chair of the Sports Medicine Committee, Dr. Jon DeGorter. Dr. DeGorter will be providing all of our members with helpful information regarding all aspects of overall health and wellness and is available to assist with any sports related questions that arise.

Dr. Jon DeGorter is a partner of Cold Spring Chiropractic. Dr. DeGorter has been treating athletes since 2009. He has become certified in multiple courses of the Active Release Technique. His certifications allow him to work on a wide arrange of running and sports-related injuries. Our practice specializes in the treatment of athletic injuries utilizing techniques which allow athletes to recover in the shortest period possible. Dr. DeGorter was the provider for injury prevention and rehab for the Long Island Marathon in 2016. Dr. DeGorter is a multi-sport athlete and runs in 5k-10k races and coaches Ice hockey in the Winter seasons.
