Here you can learn most of what you need to know in order to participate in Youth Track & Field on Long Island. Today's youth athletes are tomorrow's champions! As the #1 high school and junior high school participatory sport, track & field, long distance running, and race walking offer a variety of competitive and fitness opportunities. Track & Field is truly a “sport for life”, and the future of our sport is in our youth.
* Per USATF Rule 300.1 (c) "Athletes must be at least seven (7) years of age on December 31 of the current year to compete at the Youth Athletics or Junior Olympic National Championships."
** Athletes who are still 18 through the final day of the USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships are eligible to compete in the 17-18 age division through that meet. This extended eligibility does not apply to cross country events.
Date of Birth must be verified to compete in Junior Olympics and other National Championships.

If you are interested in starting your own youth club on Long Island please register with USATF Long Island.
All Youth Club Coaches and Volunteers will need to pass an annual Background Check AND complete the 90-minute SafeSport Course before your club's membership will be approved and activated in the USATF system. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
