The Long Island association of USATF is the local governing body for the sport of Athletics in Nassau and Suffolk counties. The track and field committee serves several purposes. Developing interest and participation at all levels is of primary importance; and opportunities for Youth, Open, Master and Disabled Athletes to perform up to and including the highest possible levels is key to our mission. Managing, promoting and conducting competitions and supporting other like-minded organizations is another important aspect of our effort. The local association is also responsible for sanctioning events in our area to offer insurance coverage and assure attention to rules and matters of safety.
